Exploring the Delicious World of Indian Dosa Dish

Sure, here's a recipe for making dosa, a popular South Indian crepe-like dish:

Ingredients:1 cup rice
1/4 cup urad dal (black lentils)
1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil or ghee for cooking

Instructions:Soak the rice and fenugreek seeds together in a bowl with enough water to cover them for at least 4 hours.
In another bowl, soak the urad dal with enough water to cover for at least 4 hours.
After the soaking time, drain the water from both the bowls and grind the rice and fenugreek seeds in a blender to make a smooth batter.
Similarly, grind the urad dal to a smooth paste separately.
Mix both the batters in a large mixing bowl.
Add salt to taste and enough water to make a runny batter. Mix well and keep it aside for fermentation for about 8 hours or overnight in a warm place.
After fermentation, give the batter a good stir. If it is too thick, add a little water to make it runny.
Heat a flat non-stick pan or a cast-iron griddle over medium-high heat.
Grease the pan with some oil or ghee using a kitchen towel or a brush.
Pour a ladle full of the batter onto the pan and spread it evenly in a circular motion to make a thin crepe-like layer.
Cook it on medium heat until the edges start to turn brown and crisp.
Flip the dosa using a spatula and cook it for another minute until it is fully cooked.
Remove it from the pan and serve it hot with coconut chutney and sambar.

Repeat the process for the rest of the batter and enjoy delicious dosas
